KEXP Song of the Day: JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound's "Howl"

Seattle radio powerhouse KEXP dubbed JCBUS's title track "Howl" their song of the day.

"The band’s third album, Howl, is a gritty and vulnerable album of R&B cuts that sound like a gritty soul take on Ryan Adams’ Heartbreaker."

Have a listen, read the full interview and check out an in studio performance of Awake from their last album Want More filmed when the band stopped by last year.

KEXP SALUTES BLOODSHOT ON INDEPENDENCE!

Seattle's super cool KEXP is tipping their radio caps to some of their favorite labels with a revolutionary spirit and, gosh by golly, they picked us as one of them.

Check out their blog posting about it HERE.

They name some of our "key" releases and embed some fine video action from Old 97s, JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound, Ryan Adams and Justin Townes Earle.

They even suggest a 13 gun salute, usually reserved for Major Generals and Rear Admirals.  While we can even PRETEND to merit that kind of recognition in such august company, we're at least happy we're getting more guns than a Vice-Consul or a Charge d'Affaires.
