PopMatters has the scoop and a premiere of scorching new track "Roll On!"
PopMatters says: "You can hear that kinship between Romweber and Jack White, not to mention the The Black Keys and in-their-prime The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, on 'Images 13‘s first single, “Roll On.'"
HitFix Entertainment News just posted a premiere of yet another Scott H. Biram song! This one's a punk-metal shredder titled, aptly, "Only Whiskey."
"The songwriter's bounded from country, rockabilly, hymns, blues, punk, metal, folk, acoustic gospel and all other colors of the rainbow."
Yes, a very dark, bloody rainbow.
Pre-order 'Nothin But Blood'.
Esquire gives us another sneak peek at Mr. Biram's forthcoming album 'Nothin' But Blood,' out February 4th (that's in less than two weeks!), with an exclusive stream and download of the song "Slow & Easy."
You won't be surprised at SHB's opinions on good BBQ when you read the interview that's alongside the song premiere.
“We thought it would be really funny to write a song about oral sex," says Lydia. The thought is funny indeed, but this song is devastatingly sad, the saddest song we've heard on the topic. But damn, is it a moody scorcher. And it features Lydia's first guitar solo on record! She shreds and slays as we'd expect.
Esquire premiered an unreleased Bottle Rockets demo of "I'll Be Comin' Around," which was once called, in this case, "This Is What It Sounds Like When You're Listening to Lindsey Buckingham and Thinking of Your Friend's Girlfriend at the Same Time." (It's a mouthful but you totally know what they're talking about.)
The track accompanies an interview with founding singer/guitarist Brian Henneman and drummer Mark Ortmann about the beginnings of the band, their stint on Atlantic in the early '90s, and...um...that time they opened for Anthrax.
The demo is a bonus track on the upcoming remastered deluxe reissue of 'Bottle Rockets' and 'The Brooklyn Side,' out November 19th on Bloodshot. Pre-order here.
