Three Bloodshot Albums Included on Chicago Reader's Best Chicago Albums of 2010s

January 30th, 2020 by bsradmin

We are mighty chuffed and honored to have several albums on this painstakingly, lovingly curated Chicago Reader list of the best Chicago albums of the last decade. Included are Freakwater's ScheherazadeRobbie Fulks's Gone Away Backward, and The Flat Five's It's a World of Love & Hope.

And to be amongst such high praise given to some of our favorite local labels, artists, albums, and songs is simply the Malört-flavored icing on this giant packzi cake. (That's a good thing.) We may not be a label of all-Chicagoan bands like we once were, but we hold the local corner of our stable in the utmost regard.

As stated so accurately in last year's compilation album Too Late to Pray: Defiant Chicago Roots: Chicago, your support humbles and drives us every day. Our appreciation for the community of which you’ve let us be a part is boundless.

Thanks for having us. It couldn’t have happened anywhere else.
