R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck just released a new EP entitled Opium Drivel, which features a cover of Charlie Pickett's "If This Is Love, Can I Get My Money Back?". The Pickett version appears on the 2008 Bloodshot album Bar Band Americanus: The Best of Charlie Pickett And.

Peter Buck appears on several Bloodshot recordings, the most recent being The Minus 5's cover of Mark Pickerel's "Cherokee Grove" on the forthcoming compilation album While No One Was Looking: Toasting 20 Years of Bloodshot Records. Also on that album, Sam Fogarino of Interpol covers Charlie Pickett's "Liked It A Lot." It's a big happy family.
