Bloodshot to Celebrate 25 Years at Square Roots Festival in Chicago

June 10th, 2019 by bsradmin

As we close in on a quarter century in existence in our weird and wonderful corner of this treachurous and tremendous racket of an industry, we're kicking off the festivities in our hometown of Chicago at Old Town School of Folk Music's exquisitely curated summertime festival Square Roots! On Saturday July 13th, right in the heart of the warmly welcoming Lincoln Square neighborhood, Bloodshot is taking over the main (North) stage starting at 3PM and carrying on into the late night!

Murder By Death will close out the night with fists (and whiskeys) in the air after the mighty Mekons make a majestic mess and label newbies Vandoliers charge up the masses.

Kicking off the occasion will be the Bloodshot All-Stars band, featuring members of Chicago's finest garage, soul, rock-n-roll house band the Gold Stars paying tribute to the late legend and Bloodshot royalty Andre Williams. The All-Stars will then bring in a revolving cast of guest singers and collaborators from Bloodshot past and present (and future!) singing label favorites and oddities. This is a one-time-only affair, ladies and germs!

3:15PM: Bloodshot All-Stars/Tribute to Andre Williams
5PM: Vandoliers
6:45PM: Mekons
8:45PM-10PM: Murder By Death

Open to the public! All ages! Suggested donation: $10 for adults / $5 for seniors & kids / $20 for families
