BEN KWELLER releasing a limited edition 7" on Bloodshot!

To be released at the end of January, Ben gets his deep Texas roots on with
this one. The limited edition of 2500 7" 45rpm includes the single "Sawdust Man" from his upcoming album and another brand new song "Send Me Down the Road" unavailable elsewhere. This is some stone cold country rock, my friends. Dig out yer dad's fringed leather jacket and catch the groove.

Dex Hit The Studio With Some Big Guns for new album

Ruins of BerlinDex and his sister Sara have finished up recording the album The Ruins of Berlin to be released on CD and LP February, 10th 2009. Features Dex dueting with long time fans Neko Case, Cat Power, Exene Cervenka (X), and Rick Miller from Southern Culture on the Skids plays some guitar for those of you in need of some garage-surf hog heaven.

Ha Ha Tonka -- in the studio, and on camera!

The boys in Ha Ha Tonka are hard at work in St Louis this holiday season, recording their follow up to the band's lauded debut, Buckle in the Bible Belt. Keeping up with its appearance as Bloodshot's "Most Wired" band -- with all their blogging and Vlogging and Twittering -- the Tonkers have outfitted their studio with a couple of web cams, so you can watch them live (!) as they record the new record. The new record (Title TBA) will be out in spring 09, but you can hear new material NOW if you catch the band on the road.

On Halloween 2008, Bobby played at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville with Drive By Truckers and The Hold Steady.  Looky here for video of another Ryman appearance by Bobby.  It's with his dad in, like, 1975.  If this don't warm your heart, you ain't got one.
