Today 93XRT and FitzGerald's announced the 33rd Annual American Music Festival in Chicago (Berwyn). The summer 4-day event features artists from around the country, and this year on July 4th the festival will celebrate Bloodshot's 20th Anniversary with a lineup featuring artists spanning the entire timeline of the label. Yes, you can celebrate the births of America and Bloodshot simultaneously. Let the beer floweth accordingly...
The day-long celebration will feature Alejandro Escovedo and the Sensitive Boys, The Bottle Rockets, Robbie Fulks, and Cory Branan, as well as Bloodshot friends Shinyribs and The Dyes, along with Shemekia Copeland, Billy Joe Shaver, Jon D. Graham, Jarekus Singleton, Kevin Gordon Band, Lost and Nameless Orchestra, and Switchback Quartet.
The American Music Festival takes place rain or shine on three stages. Advance tickets, $30 per day, go on sale at 11 a.m. May 16 at TicketWeb and in person at FitzGerald’s. A 4-day pass, $100, is available at TicketWeb only (lanyard picked up at will call on July 2).
Children 12 and under are welcome with parents until 10 p.m.
