CIMM Fest Hits Chicago

CIMM Fest hits Chicago April 18th thru the 21st.

The Chicago International Movies and Music Festival is a four day showcase of films and concerts, Q&A sessions, tech shows and a focus between cinema and music.

An End of Tour Message from JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound

From JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound.  No rest for the soulfully wicked:

"Oct 21st in Baltimore was officially the last show of the Want More tour which started in September of 2011 and rolled through October, 20th 2012! Thanks for supporting a great run!!

As of today the band is working towards the new recordings and a new release. We are looking forward to rocking this new record with you right on through 2013.

The Metro show on 11/21/12 in Chicago will feature almost all new music except for a few of the Want More 'hits' and a couple of JCBUS Favs.

JC Brooks to Lolla!

This weekend, the grandaddy of summer music festivals, Lollapalooza, pulls into Chicago's Grant Park. Our very own JC Brooks and The Uptown Sound will be one of the dozens of bands to take the Lolla stage reppin' Chicago -- here, Red Eye catches up with Jayson to talk about their upcoming show, while NBC Chicago also features the up-and-comers, and Esquire pegs JCBUS as one to watch at Lolla 2012.

JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound win Libbie Award for Best Up and Comers!

The inaugural Libera Awards (AKA Libbies) organized by A2IM (American Assoiciation Of Independent Music) took place last night in NYC. The award aims to celebrate indie labels and artists. While JC Brooks and The Uptown Sound was kicking off The Chicago Gospel Music Festival in Millennium Park, on the other coast, they were being named Best Up and Comers as chosen by eMusic members. Check out the fancy awards bling they got! Congrats, boys!

When JC and the boys were in Seattle on their Want More album release tour, they stopped by the esteemable offices of super cool radio station KEXP.
