As we have for the past 18 years (yes, the first time we went to SXSW, Lydia Loveless was in kindergarten), Bloodshot Records will be stuffing our staff, bands, equipment, and merch (and livers, sunblock, and comfortable walking shoes) into various vehicles and heading to the oasis of Austin, Texas for South By Southwest 2014. We look forward to it as the only time of year in which we can get many of our artists, friends, fans, cohorts, colleagues, appendages, and hanger-ons together in one place to celebrate the fact that Bloodshot still has a place in this weird, wild world of independent music. And we get to eat metric tons of great BBQ and tacos; drink gallons of IPA and whiskey (over the course of six days - don't worry); and make new musical friends.

Come celebrate Bloodshot's 20th Anniversary of existence with drink in hand!

Barrence Whitfield & the Savages

Wow, just thinking about leaving Arctic Chicago for temperatures above freezing has us jumping for sheer joy before we even think about how much fun we're gonna have in Austin. If it snows in Texas that week, we're gonna burn the mother down out of spite, and for warmth.
