We like to listen to vinyl on Fridays here at BSHQ. Every Friday we have a Bloodshot crew member randomly select a record from his/her personal collection and bring it to the office. The person has to explain why the album is on his/her shelves, and then we listen to it. We call this Random Wax.
Today's contestant is a guest star! GHS Strings' artist relations guru Chris Walters randomly selected Disillusion by O'Brother, from 2013. Here's his explanation on why it's in his collection:
"This band has a huge massive sound and this album captures it perfectly. The textures added by each musician weave in and out of eerie melodies, hitting a special spot in my melancholy heart. Plus the whole album is pretty much one long delayed massive guitar riff, which really is the only way to play a riff...”
