Here we are…20 years and 200-some releases after scribbling a business plan on a napkin from a punk dive in Chicago. We're still here. And so are you.
We're planning to celebrate in typical and expected (see: unpredictable and manic) fashion throughout this year. Stay tuned for plenty of outlandish and debaucherous happenings we've been hacking away at and tinkering with at our Chicago headquarters and laboratory.
From our first releases in 1994 (a compilation titled For a Life of Sin: Insurgent Chicago Country, 7" singles from two of our favorite bands Moonshine Willy and Waco Brothers) to this year's new and upcoming releases (albums from legends and rising stars alike, including Scott H. Biram, Lydia Loveless, Dex Romweber Duo, Bobby Bare Jr., Cory Branan, Luke Winslow-King, and more), we're proud (and honestly, flabbergasted) that we're still here. That wouldn't be the case without you, specifically, along with our (exhaustingly and perseverently) hard-working and talented bands and our many friends around the world. In this post-digital-apocalyptic world full of fleeting trends and superfluous media, that means more than it ever has.
Now that we've gotten all mushy to the point of digital ipecac, here's the first unveiling of our official Bloodshot 20th Anniversary Seal. You'll see this everywhere throughout this year if you're paying attention ( including t-shirts!). It was designed by Pete Klockau and it's damned representative.
Stay tuned here so you don't miss a god-forsaken thing this year.
