Long known in underground circles as one of the greatest R&B screamers of the 50's, Andre came storming back into the consciousness of an unsuspecting younger generation with this two-sided slice of vinyl heaven.
Backed by Detroit's Two Star Tabernacle (featuring a young, pre-White Stripes Jack White, on piano and guitar and members of Blanche) he delivers of couple of blasts of deep juke joint country soul. Side A is a song he wrote 40 some years ago about... well... the title says it all.
Side B is the Hank Williams classic turned from a lonesome wail to a feverish confessional. Produced by Dan Kroha (Demolition Doll Rods, Gories), so you know there are hefty doses of garage-osity tossed around for good measure.
****The original pressing of this single is long sold out, gone forever. However, You can still hear these songs on our compilation, Making Singles, Drinking Doubles , or get them on iTunes (click the link on the left), or you can try overpaying for them on eBay.****
